Ok I am against theme posts taking over oppo, but not nearly as against POLITICAL posts taking over oppo, even if they’re neutral. So I’m fighting fire with fire here, I guess.

That’s right, the 2nd generation Honda Accord had a reverse-hinged hood or whatever you want to call it. This was the only picture I could find of it on the great Interwebz. But I had one and I ‘member...... in fact it was my first car.

Good thing we had such a heavyhanded president back then or those would have been Japanese people building that Honda. Can you even imagine that? (sry, couldn’t resist)

My 1983 Prelude was a forward tilt hood. It was pretty sporty!

I always wanted the Prelude back then. My Accord was an ‘85 that my mom got when my sister and I were 12 and 10, respectively - that would have been 1991. In hindsight, that car wasn’t very old when we got it! My sister had it when she was in high school, then I inherited it, and it was very tired by then. But it always ran well, it was super comfy and I loved it. 5 speed of course!

I had my Lude over 10 yrs. It eventually had a Jackson Racing header, Mallory power cell and a hi-output 38k volt coil. Got a set of Brembo brakes for the front back then too that were more reasonably priced than these days.
